Been seeing this video all over Facebook, great pull man! I love it more than I probably should because your truck looks identical to mine (cept yours being a 4x4 with an 8 lol).

Any word on why that Semi was even there in the first place?

I do believe your truck is famous. lol. Congrats on the successful pull. No need to beat a dead horse.

Side note** to the person that said they would rather use a chain instead of a tow strap......yeah, my personal experience.....DON'T! If it breaks from the load, that's now multiple projectiles that can and will go through a heavy headache rack, window, dash, and cowl........not to mention, tends to make you want to fill your pants. I don't have a picture to prove it, nor was I in the cab. I was on the tractor getting pulled out. Old 9N buried to the engine. Please do not ever use a chain to jerk somebody out.

I'm thinking he might have just got his CDL and was showing off his rig. I had seen him come in and remember saying to myself, "It would be bad *** if he got stuck." I was actually in the middle of some ribs on the pit when I noticed that traffic was backing up. I wasn't gonna go cause I had seen several trucks gathering. After about 30 min and constant persuasion from my wife, I decided to go see what was up. Believe it or not, that explorer was 4wd and had tried getting him out. You can see the broken rope dangling from his bumper in the vid.

I can't believe it took this long for someone to mention it! Chains will store energy, and are more dangerous than a strap if it breaks. My old truck still has the damage to prove it. Chain snapped while trying to pull another truck out, tailgate was dented, rear window was smashed to pieces, and even the roof got dinged up pretty badly when a chunk of chain went flying over/on it.

To the OP, nice pull!

In reality, a chevy or dodge (or a nissan or a toyota) could have done it as well..It just happened to be a ford that did. No reason to make it an us vs them battle, that's a bit silly.
