My 2011 XLT 5.0 Offroad. Only has a Daystar 1" budget level kit and 275/70-18 BFG A/T's.

And that's why you don't use the ball. Would have been better off taking the receiver out and sliding the hitch pin through the looped end of the snatch rope. Might be a good time to pick up a receiver with a D ring or a solid hook.

I know this applies to lighter Jeeps, but it's a good reference point for anyone that needs to perform any recovery at all:
