This is SPI. It's a drive on beach and we're not allowed to go into the dunes this close off the road. Theres really no need for it.

I have the D ring from Harbor Freight and have had no problems with it. It's rated for 10K but I personally wouldn't trust it with that weight. I think I've pulled 6500# with it with no issues.

Yeah because the straps cause a rubberband reaction. That's why it was able to be pulled out with that jerk

It's not the straps that's the issues, it's using a ball as an anchoring point.

I agree. Better that bent instead of the shaft breaking & the ball going through a skull.
