My first tows with EcoBoost
Took the boat out yesterday and the jet ski out today for the first time this season and for the first time with the new truck. I can definitely say I notice the difference from the 5.4 to the EcoBoost. The EcoBoost just seems so much smoother, even with a 5000lb boat behind it. It gets up to highway speed so much faster then the 5.4. I even thought to myself what can this thing do if I really get on it. So I punched it at 20mph with the boat behind me and it lit up the tires. Got off it real quick but I was impressed. With the jet ski I couldn't even tell it was back there. Here's what I towed this weekend.

Roasting tires with a 5000lb boat in tow! I'd say your tongue weight is off or your trailer brakes are hanging.

Tows- great!
I hauled my tractor from one farm to another over the weekend-- about 100 miles for the first time with my new ecoboost Supercrew. Torque was really smooth, pulled the trailer without any complaint or struggling-- unlike my Silverado I replaced with my first Ford truck. Having the 157 inch wheelbase sure makes a big difference in the stability to the rig while towing also.
I very pleased with the power, stability- and alos the MPG while towing (that is, if you can believe what the computer is telling you @ 15 mpg pulling a 6000 pound trailer at 65mph). Even managed to stick my foot in it going up a hill, and confidently pulled sharply past the 18 wheelers.
I think this truck is going to work out very, very well. I had reservations about an ecoboost for towing, but had more misgivings about pulling this rig with the 5.0, and having to wrap the motor up high in the rpm band to tow.
You won't be disappointed when you connect the trailer up.

AT 55 I know you just got your truck curious as to how many miles you had on it before first tow, I have to pick up my TTrailer real soon after my truck arrives and will be close to the 500 mile break in minimum.
