My EcoBoost Torture Test

Not to keep throwing fuel on the fire here, but why are street racing threads shut down instantly on this forum, yet people can post all they want about willfully towing more than what there truck can legally tow? And many posters will defend them by claiming that they're "Using their truck as a truck"....
The tow ratings are there for a reason. It doesn't matter what you THINK the truck can tow or what you FEEL is acceptable. For most people here, you're not an engineer. You didn't design the truck and you don't get to determine the towing capacity. You are exceeding the ratings that are determined by a skilled engineer who does this for a living, and to think that you know better is just ignorant. It is unsafe and illegal to overload your truck and you're no better than the kids street racing on public highways when you purposely take a dangerous vehicle out the road.
I understand that not everyone can afford to buy a 3/4 ton or larger pickup to tow/haul something once or twice a year. Sometimes people don't have a choice but to hook up and go, and it's not always 100% safe or legal. But to go on the internet and brag about grossly overloading your truck because you think the tow rating is just "for insurance purposes" is completely stupid. If you're going to put other people's lives at risk, you need to be willing to accept responsibility for those actions and not brag about it on the internet.

Troll? I owned and operated an EB before you did. Sorry you don't like the truth, but that surely doesn't make me a troll. However, your ignorance to your own trucks legal ratings is laughable, at best. CDL, my ***. No owner of a company or CDL holder would knowingly overload their rig just to haul a load. I've had loads into the 110,000lb arena and made damn sure every one of my 13 axles was under the limit.

Oh I know the truck can handle it. If something goes wrong, its on my plate and I will accept responsibility. You come off as a *****, I can't help that. Seems like a personal problem to me. Anyway you would be amazed how many trucks are overloaded these days. Especially if your in the livestock business like myself. I can tell you don't like it, but how about this. If you don't agree just quit. I hate getting in p***ing matches on this forum and it makes us both look quite childish. I posted this thread just to give Ecoboost owners insight into the trucks performance at the top end of its limits. If you don't want to to read about it, don't click on the thread. I was hoping to make a good read for some of our fellow forum members, but once again you turned a solid thread into a fight. I would love if a moderator could clean the crap out of this thread. I was giving honest feedback. Thanks

Ive never once stopped a F150 owner and said, "Sir, your truck appears to be over the mfg weight ratings, here's your ticket." He's not breaking any laws by towing a boat. Definitely not the same a street racers.

Just call me sean. Really
It absolutely amazes me the different mind sets between the OBS area of this forum and the new trucks. There is not a single person in here that hasn't overloaded a truck before, hauled a load the wrong way, driven like an idiot, got a ticket, whatever. Why don't you guys who are getting in these pissing matches just grow up and agree to disagree? I thought we were all adults here
