You can if you want to, I was just posting because I have't seen many guys tow heavy loads with their Ecoboosts. I'm pretty sure everyone saw that video of the Ecoboost towing the cars at Homestead. Sorry for buying my truck to be a truck, people get their nickers in a bunch too easily here. Sheesshhh!

Threads's??? What kind of English is that, lol!

No, because I run a legitimate company. I just like playing with you guys, ha!

And for the gears comment, Yes, rear axle gears play a large part in towing! But so does the engine, transmission, suspension, transfer case, trailer, etc. I would have never thought that a switch in gear ratios would have such a large jump in towing capacities. We have two duallys. Both 6.0 Fords, one has a 3.73 and the other is a 4.56. The trucks drive the same and feel the same under pressure, even though there is a MASSIVE difference in rear end ratios....

Tommorow I will put it to the test. I have to go up to Greenville, NC and pick up a 28 ft Grady White Boat and bring it to South Carolina. The boat weighs right over 10,000 lbs empty and is on a load leveling trailer with trailer brakes. I made the trip from SC to Greenville this past Summer with my 5.4 with 35's and averaged 10 miles per gallon. Most of the driving will be Interstate stretches. I will upload pics and discuss my findings after I return tomorrow. I'm not expecting stellar mpg, but I want to see how well this engine performs when being pushed close to its limits. My truck is a 2013 KR F150 with the Ecoboost Engine and 3.55 Rear w/ E locker. Completely Stock. Thanks for reading!
Nice 2010 bud. I have a 5.4 and i believe that with the right gear and 35's you can pull 10k all day long. Dont let that guy **** you off. He is a troll. Hes ha had me pissed of too in the past. I bet your EB pulls that boat like no tomorrow. Have a great day.
