Are my door lock actuators going bad?
Regarding my 2011 F150 King Ranch...
Very frequently my doors (mainly the rear doors) will lock and will not unlock for about a week. They will then work for a couple days and then not unlock again. Sometimes they remain in the unlocked position and will not lock. My question is on the door actuators, when they go bad to they quit working altogether or do they work intermittently when they begin to go bad? Also, is it common for them to stick or all 4 need to be replaced at once?
Thanks.

Hmm that doesn't sound right. There is always some sort of mechanical connection between the interior door pull and the latch. There has to be...as this is the mechanical fall back to pop the lock from the inside should the electrics fail...like in a crash for example...

Sometimes my rear doors won't unlock. I can usually pull on the lock pin hard enough to get it to unlock. Just check the wiring harness in the door for broken wires. That is usually the problem, if no broken wires are present then you'll need to replace the lock actuators.

I feel like I should check the wiring on my doors after reading all these threads.

normally it is the drivers door and when you unwrap the bundle you can see burnt spots. the insulation breaks down from age and bending from the open and closing. common problem either door locks or the windows. water migrates in there and there a pin holes in the plastic insulation when they are manufactured.
