Default My Catch Can results

I have a 2014 5.0 with 50k miles on it. I installed this catch can about a month ago:
Amazon Amazon

after 500 miles, here's how much oil was in the can:

I would say this was a solid purchase! Makes me wonder how much oil was getting past before I installed it

What is a catch can and what are the benefits of owning one? I have a '17 2.7 SCREW. I just saw a group buy on another forum. Odd, since I've never heard of this before and have seen it twice in 15 minutes.

Go into the engine forum and look for some catch can threads. There are a ton of them. All the info you ever wanted to know can be found in there.

Mixed feedback on them depending who you ask. I believe they can also throw CEL codes?

Catch can captures exhaust gases fron the crankcase and separates oil and water vapors from coating you intake vavles with this crud. Due from the heat of the engine, the crud gets baked on to your valves and over time can restrict air flow or could lead to valve failure.

Hahaha! Keep a box of nitrile gloves in the garage. Took me one time to learn that one. Honestly, it's surprising to see a N/A engine produce the results you have.
