I hope you are just kidding. If I spend $700 to $900 dollars for a cover that states it is "weather tight", then to have standing water in your bed, I would not be happy at all.

As a side note how hard are the leds to install? where do you pull the power from?

I had a Bakflip on my tacoma. Only got a little water in it. The Bakflips I have seen installed on the F150s have the drain tubes in the front of the bed. towards the cab. I know someone mentioned this earlier. Just a thought. Good luck.

I see in the pics it looks like water is getting in that joint. Maybe some clear silicone gel would work? Or something similar. I see why you would be upset. It cant hurt to try.

I'm not sure how you have the drain tubes routed inside of the bedliner, or if they could be pinched shut. You should definitely have more than just a little moisture in the drains before that much water could seep through a seam! I would be water testing that baby in a car wash, and having somebody check what is wrong with the channels. Then if the seams are leaking along with the drains working; the Bakflip would be returned. I have a Bakflip, and mine seems water tight. My truck is garaged, but gets washed regularly, and has sat out in several rains. No water in the bed yet; knock on wood .

At the bottom edge of your photo, it looks like the gasket on the BakFlip rail is not sealing against the plastic cap on top of the side of the box.

I had that problem when the BakFlip dealer first installed mine. Rather than mess around with the dealer, I removed the cover and rails and used DAP gutter seal to reinstall the BakFlip rails.



They don't leak anymore, but if you hit the BakFlip with a water jet, you can overflow the rail gutters that drain to the tubes by the cab. Also, if you use an air blast (like a leaf blower) to dry the BakFlip after washing, water trapped in the folding gasket seam can overflow those same rail gutters.

It took me a couple of tries to get it lined up right, but I'm very happy with it now.

ditto for me too. I've had my Bakflip HD for over 1 year now. I have the Ford plastic bedliner and I installed the drain tubes too.

If you are sure that the Bakflip rails are installed properly/tight against the factory bed rail, and the rails/tubes can drain freely, then I guess you have a defective seal along that hinge point???
