Ok guys, its been about ten days an NO complaints. The 19 dollar clamps and el cheapo under spring helper for 29 bucks work great!! Its like a whole different truck. So far so good. No bends, movement, and so on.

My ProComp AAL completely cured everything on mine. I realize due to the lift it is not an option for everyone, but I run 5100s on the max settting up front, and the front and rear compliment each other very well in my situation. It is stiffer front and rear, but I prefer it, and although harsher than factory, it handles better for me IMO.

Please educate me a little. Does the longer wheel base have a 2 piece drive shaft? If so it has a center carrier bearing. If the carrier is too high or too low it will not be smooth. Very commen on older Volvo 700& 900 series. If one piece how about u-joint angle?

Trial And Error
I went and got a set of the Helper Springs that PRNDL had tried on the quest for smooth rapid acceleration. Axle wrap, wheel hop etc...
$32.00 from Advance Auto Parts, and I had a set of 3" leaf spring bolts here so they were of no cost on this project.
They work well, but did not 100% cure all of the wheel hop on my lil truck.
Slowed it down a lot, I can get about 15-20 feet of posi rubber down before it starts to hook up and hop.
Not bad, before it was about 4 feet, then look for new axleshafts. The tires would literally leave the pavement.
So, better by leaps and bounds, but not cured on this day.
I'm trying to not put my caltracs on this truck, I'm going to lower it here in the next couple weeks 3" in rear 2" in front.
The caltracs will fix it, but they are a lil noisy, and need to be adjusted if you are gonna haul something, so there is some maintenance with those.
I tried them, bolted up in front and open/just pressed up against the spring, no change either way.
Thanks PRNDL for posting the idea, they will work for now, but they are not a permanent fix for me..
PLEASE excuse how dirty the truck is, I live in Michigan and it's too cold to lay on my back and clean it up under there.
Spring is just around the corner, it will be all detailed top to bottom soon.

I had the wheel hop on my 2011 with 18 inch Michelin tires and wheels.
I always blamed it on the tires because I have a 2013 with just standard 17 inch tires and stock steel wheels.
The vibration is not anywhere as near as bad in this 2013. Pretty smooth ride, but alot of it depends on the kind of road you're driving on too.
if I tried this, do I need both the clamps and the spring helper?
I seem the spring helper on amazon for 24.96 I believe it was.
Does this stiffen up the leaf spring, or is this improving the vibration/wheel hop?

actually, tyerfryersc, that is the SAME EXACT truck(even to the color) I used to have. regular cab with those 18" Michelin's and those same exact wheels.
they forced balanced the tires twice, but the vibration in the rear bed never got any better, and my whole body shook in the cab around 55mph.

What you are talking about could be an out of balance wheel, or a bent wheel hub. Or an out-of round tire.
