Default My 2013 FX4 Updates

So I just got a few things done recently/today and thought I'd share. Will add future mod info to this thread as well.

-Front windows tinted with 3M @ 15%
-Truxedo tonneau cover
-Husky under-rear-seat storage

Today, put on XD Addict 18" wheels & Goodyear Duratrac 295/65R18 tires with a Daystar 2" level up front.

Also removed FX4 rear quarter decals & "EcoBoost" badges.

Swapped out front Ford logo with one from eBay (seller Tomstubes I think). Waiting for rear (shipped me the wrong one)

First pic is this morning before level/wheels/tires.
Rest are afterwards.

Pre-level / tire measurements from ground to top center of wheel well: 37 1/2" front - 40"rear.

Afterwards measurements: 39 1/2" front - 40 1/2" rear.

I like the "tighter" ride the wheels/tires have given me. Still very very comfortable to me. Not sure what psi in them at the moment. Did notice slight vibration like an out of balance wheel at 75 mph leaving shop with my old wheels/tires loaded in the bed. Will drive a little more tonight & see if I'm going to ask the shop to check the balance job they did.

That is one sweet truck! I like the mods. How do the new tires sound at highway speeds?

Well - I'm surprised at what I CAN here with these tires in this vehicle. My last vehicle was a Jeep Wrangler and I had Nitto Trail Grapplers - and they were practically silent except when the windows were open/top down at slow speed.

With these, I hear a bit of hum at all speeds. Not bad - not annoying - but I'm still surprised I can hear anything at all with the way the screw is designed/insulated. It's really very very mild. I almost always have the radio on anyway - so I'll barely ever here it.

I have the Tomstubes black ovals too--very good quality and fit. Now just black out those orange side mirror reflectors and get a black Ford oval for your steering wheel and you'll be set! Here's the link for the gel badge overlay:
