New tonneau. Undercover LUX tonneau. Ptm and only weighs 50lbs. Battery powered LED light inside so no splicing wires. Unlike fiberglass covers that are approx 200lbs with hardware this thing is feather light and quickly removable. The shocks pop off and clip to the cover and there are quick release hinges so if you ever need to remove it it can be done in minutes and hung up on the supplied hook in your garage until you pop that bad boy back on. Color match is perfect. (UH- tux black) this coming from a painter) I was a little unsure about the molded wing/lip on the back but seeing it in person I love the sporty look.

Got bored again and tried something out I've been wanting to do for awhile. Carbon fibered the inside of my instrument cluster last week to match the trim in the truck. Turned out awesome. The inside silver part around where the display screen is I painted satin black and then vinyl wrapped the front silver portion of the cluster that remained. WARNING- It is very hard to separate the lens from the cluster if anyone is thinking about trying to do this. About an hour with a heat gun and pry tools. You CAN'T bake this piece like a headlight to separate the lens there are too many small clips and thin pieces of plastic behind it. It would end up looking like a Salvador Dali painting.

Here a the only thing close to a before pic I have to compare the two. The weird screen like pattern on the before pic is because I took a pic of a pic I had on another computer.

I am new to the forum, so please bear with me. I have an XLT 4x4 and have a couple of questions for you. Reading through, I see you are a painter, but I am curious about the painted bumper. What process did you go through? Did you strip the chrome first or just paint over it? With the door handles, does the chrome peel off easily and then I am assuming you painted the hanedles? Is there a special process to get rid of the chrome on the handles? Finally, it looks like you are 4wd. Is that correct? I have been debating about lowering my 4wd too. Thanks in advance. Truck looks great.

Just moved east (Ontario to New Brunswick) one tank of gas 1017km not too shabby for the ol 5.4 averaged 12L/100km or 19.4 mpg. 34km left to go when I pulled into the gas station.
