Looking hard at the Dura tracs. How are they on road noise compared to other tires? Wear seems to be good, they appear that they will clean out well.

I have found them for $310 a tire for 275/65-20's. I think thats pretty decent.

The noise is comparable to most AT tires. Definitely quieter than MT's. Wear was about 50k miles for me on my SD. If snow is the main concern, The DuraTracs are the best. I have no experience with them in the mud, and generally a MT tire would be better for mud anyways.

Really and MT tire would be better in mud? LOL

I think i will be going with the dura tracs. They seem like the best option.

The KM2's would definitely be the best option but like you said, they are pricey. The Nitto trail grappler is a great choice as well but I'm not sure it's any cheaper than the KM2's. Toyo MT's are great mud tires, but don't last as long as they should from what I've heard. Personally, I would try to save up for the KM2's. I had those on my old FX4 and they were the best tire I ever had. If you don't think you'll be in mud that much, look into some aggressive AT like the Toyo AT mentioned earlier.

Just my 2 cents.

I had to make this decision a few months ago. I read around and came across the Kenda Klever M/T. Its been a very good tire (especially for the price!). I've pulled out many 4x4's out of mud and farm fields after I went through in 4x2. Never had to use 4x4 yet. They just grip really well and when you get stuck they clean and grip even more. I would take a look at them if you're looking for a good m/t tire.

You also have the new Toyo RT tires coming out in a month. Along with the Nitto Exo Grappler. The BFG KM2s or Mickey Thompson MTZ are the best MT tire to go with.

Well I pulled the trigger on a new set of LT tires. I went with the Cooper AT3 as I really like the look. (not to aggressive) I got a decent price and they have more Pros then Cons for how and where I'll do most of my driving. I'll keep you up to date on these if you want.

I just bought a set of the exact same tires, go to their website, they have a $70 rebate on them.
