Default Mpt ghost cam

I'm considering buying a tuner for my truck and have been looking around at different tunes and came across mpt's ghost can tune. Wondering if anyone has any experience with this tune and could give me kind of a review of it. If you like/dislike? Any gains? Problems?

Thanks

If you wish to ruin your engine, by all means get the tune. No gains, it just simulates a hotrod cam lope.

You can get a race tune paired up with it so yes you will see gains - good gains. It will give you a lope that in my experience made my mustang surge. It highly recommended that you are either catless or at least have high flow cats. There are a few YouTube videos you can check out as well.

Yeah I've seen some of the videos on YouTube and love the sound of the loping but after searching and finding a thread on it, it seems many people are having problems with it.

i do believe they just refined the ghost cam tune and got it under control as far as making it DD compatible. Search their more recent youtube videos for a in depth look at it. But everyone is correct, in the past they did have issues with them.

Personally would just put their street/race tune and be done with it.

I have the ghost cam tune, went back to a regular tune pretty quickly since it was annoying as a daily drive with all the bucking and whatnot.

It wont ruin your engine...might melt your cats if you let it sit idling for a looong time, but thats about it. It's a novelty product, though.

I have a little. I really didn't wanna mess with the internals of the engine though at this point. Seemed easier to just go the tuner route. I do have the extended warranty to 100k and only have 35k right now so I'll prolly hold off for awhile anyways. Just saw the videos and thought it was cool.

for the amount of performance gains (or lack of), and price (you gotta buy 4), I would never consider cams in a 4valve, unless I was pushing insane amts of power via boost. Even then the price wouldn't justify the return.
