Default MPG 2013 5.0 4*2 supercrew 3.31 gears

On a stretch of highway of about 50 miles, I reset my gas mpg meter after I filled up with 93 octane. I am running the 91 perf/tow tune by 5star. On this stretch I didn't have to slow down or speed up. I kept a constant 55 mph and couldn't believe what the mpg gauge said.

Impressive.......but in the future, use the A or B trip meters to post your mpg. That will show how far you've traveled to get the shown gas mileage.......on another note, at 25 mpg and a full tank of gas, the miles to empty should show closer to 650 miles (26 gallon tank) or 900 miles (36 gallon tank).......I know --- the miles to empty takes FOREVER to update.....

yea 22 mpg at 75mph... uh huh...

ANYWAYS, I will be posting a thread here in the upcoming weeks of my trip A after resetting it when I filled up. I am going to drive it until it is empty and I will post photos of the dash read out.

As of right now, i am getting a 14.5 MPG average. This is 100 percent in town driving. Put in 35 gals last fill up so im pretty sure that is as close as i can get to the true 36 gals. Miles to empty after filling up was 486.

I'm projecting to be able to go 515-530 miles on this tank just by seeing how many gallons have been used and how many miles I have gone. 530/36 is 14.72 MPG 530/35 is 15.14 mpg

I just logged my first 20mpg average tank with my 5.0l, 601miles and took 30 gallons on the nose (just a HAIR over 20). What's odd is it said 9miles to empty when I still have 6 gallons left in the tank. First 400 miles was driving 60-65mph with a 1500# load in the box half that trip and it said 21.9 when I pulled in the driveway, 7 trips to work (17-18mpg usually) for the last 201 miles drug it down to 20.0 on the display. Doing a "55mph" test will put my truck at 23.5mpg on a long stretch but that isn't realistic.

Yea, you're right... Taking that off is costing me 6-8 mpg's. LOL if you think that is why your mileage is AMAZING then that is funny.

He man ease up. Just joking with ya. I don't think my mileage is amazing. For 50 straight miles my mpg reader went from 17 mpg to the 25mpg. I just thought that was neat. What I didn't realize is that when you post something on a forum like this, people have to be all smarty pants instead of realizing there is some humor in it. Another reason why I don't post much.
