Default Moving on....maybe back later ??

Well, we all have changes in our lives and our circumstances....this is the dynamic of life.

Having relocated back to SoCal, coupled with my new marriage, my lifestyle has changed markedly. No more snow to deal with, and not quite the easy (minutes away) access to the mountains, which I had in northern CA, the past 20+ years.

Also, sometimes--a little change is nice too?

In this regard, I sold my F-150 and went into a 2013 Chrysler 300C!! LOL

This is the first modern sedan I have owned, after decades of trucks and SUV's.

I was going to wait for the new version of the F-150 later in 2014, or 2015, but I decided to sell the truck now, while the mileage was still fairly low (63K) and I could get a decent price for my clean and problem free truck.

As have most of you, who have been on this board awhile, I LOVED my F-150 and I consider it one of the best vehicles I have ever owned!! It was problem-free for me, in all respects! I am still a big fan of Ford and their engineering!!! Therefore, I do not depart with any negative feelings or comments, whatsoever!!

Having said that, I just did not need the function of a truck that much anymore, and I wanted a nice comfortable (I am a big guy) and classy looking ride, for our many local road-trips here in the southland; up to L.A. and down to San Diego. With a daughter still at home, the Black 300C 4-door sedan, with the face-lift in 2011, looks soooo cool--and seemed to fit what I was looking for!?

So far, the 300 has been really great, after 2000 miles of operation; wherein, it is a nice balance for me, with looks, performance, handling and fuel economy. It is similar to the F-150, a lot of vehicle, for the money!

Best wishes to you all, and please know, I will check in from time to time; moreover, there is still that chance, I will get a new model F-150 EB, maybe after the first year is matured, in and around 2016?

Last, I wish to opine, that this is one of the best automotive boards around; one can get just about any info they need--when looking to purchase, or after the purchase, of an awesome F-150!!

Best wishes to all!

I just knew, that someone here, would ask that question!!!!!

The Chrysler 5.7L HEMI® V8 delivers 363 horsepower with a 16 city / 25 highway mpg estimate.

Best of Luck.
I understand your situation. I will be moving to Nashville early next year. In KC I needed 4X4 for the snow. Nashville just closes down the city when it snows.
I may look for a cheap beater car and hold by Ford. Other wise I may trade my truck for a more fuel efficient vehicle.
Hope to see you back soon!

Good to hear from you brother, and happy to hear your well. Enjoy the new 300, they are comfortable cars. And don't worry, that new truck itch will get so bad you'll have to scratch it sooner or later. Keep in touch.

HAHAHA

I thought the same thing when I moved back to San Diego a couple of years ago.. dump the GMC Sierra and get a car!

What a big mistake that was because I missed having a truck all the time living here. I sold the Sierra for one year in a Prius (dont ask, it was my Oregon lesbian moment), then a year in a GMC Acadia, now the 2013 F150.

Thanks, but I'd rather park a little farther away and/or put a wet dog in the bed instead of a back seat. Besides, I was never was to comfortable having to "step up & out" of a car, pressing the B-Pilar against my left shoulder.

Well forward your contact info to the local Ford dealers just in case!

You'll want the truck again. I traded in mine for a 2013 focus back in January...it's ironic that u end up needing a truck the most when u don't have one anymore. Needless to say, I will be purchasing a new one around October.
