I love convertibles.
However, I'm actually very disappointed in the new Mustang and Camaro's rear seats.
They're completely useless and should be re-classified as 2 seater sports cars now.
It got even worse in the newest Mustang with the super sloped aggressive rear window angle.
At least my 2nd gen z/28 had enough room semi-comfortably for an adult.
Can't even get kids in the back of either of these new pony cars.
GM won't axe the rear seat because of the Vette.
I'm guessing that's why Ford won't do it either.
Mind you, i have kids so this is a family man's perspective.
I'm sure an older couple or couple with no kids, it don't matter.

The biggest joke is that the thing has child seat anchors in the back!!!
How in the heck do you fit a rear facing child seat back there??????

Well off topic, but just a comparison......my 78 pro-touring Z/28.
Rear seat, with 4th gen interior seats. Space was the same.
I had my childs car seat in the rear for shows we went to.
Very spacious compared to today's very bulbous seats that literally
butt up against the rear seats
I really dig the new Mustangs style though......convertibles are sweet and eliminates that over head issue I was talking about earlier. Would be a hell of a retirement toy.

Ford said the 5.0 is NOT going away in the F150 or Mustang. Most Mustangs are 5.0's, and I believe the 5.0 out sells any other single engine in the F150. Combined, the 3 V6's sell more.

I think they might have said the same thing about the 6.2 in the Raptor. Maybe not in the next couple of years, but to meet CAFE standards all V8's will be a thing of the past by 2025......52 mpg corporate average?

Five-0 Ret.
That's absolutely beautiful. You'll have a great time driving the drop top. They are great road trip cars. Enjoy.
Luckily the Wifey has the GT, and I still have my truck.

BTW, www.themustangsource.com is a very good Mustang forum if you need any info.

I thought V8 cars would be a thing of the past 25 years ago. That is part of the reason I bought my 5.0 LX and set it back...I was wrong. V8's only got more powerful and more efficient.
