I have a 30" LED light bar mounted in my grill, but like the LED flood lights on my tractor, I've come to realize that our eyes need yellow light in order to see detail like deer and other critters. All to say that I prefer the HIDs in my Infiniti over my 2011 F150 with all the lights on and the light bar.

Here is a video of my 30" light bar in my F150.

You guys are awesome.

I think I'm going to do what Stevebass did with the 2 pieces of angle iron. If that isn't strudy enough i'll go Lethal's route. I wanted to try and stick with the brackets that came with it because they got a perferated edge that matches up with the bar. Either way I think i'll be fine.

Thanks for the help fellas.

Looks great. This makes me want to add another light bar to my truck now. If you guys need any light bars I have Rigid/AuxBeam on my site. AuxBeam is probably the #1 economy line on the market right now, VERY popular on Amazon (the bars I sell are not on amazon yet as they are the latest/greatest, the 5D kind with LEDs/lenses that Rigid uses).

Just check out the site if you need anything... now I need to go order more lights for my own truck after reading this thread *grin*

I guess it all depends on a persons eyes. I travel 100km round trip everyday on a highway in northern Ontario, this road is through dense woods, and there are constant collisions with moose and bears. My LEDs have saved me multipal times, without them, I would never have seen the critters before there were in front of me.

The brighter whiter light is closer to daylight than the stock headlights. the headlights are yellower and tend to not make critters stand out in my experiance.

Can't wait to finish my hid retrofit....

Do you if the 42" Auxbeam curved will fit behind the grill and allow the hood to close? I do not see a straight bar listed on yoursite

OP looks great let us know how it works out!!!

weed: They are on my site, http://www.4x4truckleds.com/led-ligh...bars/straight/

As for WILL IT FIT, not sure. A 42" curved is really the same width as a 42" non-curved I believe... they just have a nice arc.

BTW, I sell 42" straight, but I only listed the new 5D bars on my site, because they are the best of the best that AuxBeam has. I do sell the older style 42" bars without the 5D Projector Lenses

morehouse: You should look into getting the lense covers for your LED lights, if you have them... I don't have them on my site because I wasn't sure if people used them, but I read and watched videos where people put them on their lights. They clamp right onto the LED light bars

On behalf of all other Northern Ontarians, please do NOT put HID tubes in your halogen reflectors. It just spays light all over, including on-coming eyes, and is annoying as ****. Do it right with projector lens type lamps, or not at all.

Thank you.
