Most Popular Tire size for 18s
From my research on here it is very clear that in the aftermarket department 305 55 r20 tires are the preferred tire size for the majority of aftermarket 20" rim owners. My question is what about 18s? I have narrowed it down to 18x9 XD Addicts or 18x9 methods "the standard", both are flat black finish and +18mm offset for my summer rims. Now I need to pick tires. Two I have in mind are 295 65 r18 wrangler duratrac, (the only tire made in this size and is 33.1") and 305 65 r18 bfg ta ko (33.6") what are your thoughts and is there a size out there that is more popular and will fit without issues. I have a leveling kit already installed FYI. Thanks in advance guys!

I have 305/65-18 rocky mountains with a 0 offset with 2.5 rough country leveling kit and i get a little rub on plastic in reverse at full lock but thats all. I have pics in my garage if you wish to check it out.

i find the 305's to a little on the wide side for my taste...
im hoping to go 285/70/18 on the next set....ur rim offset will have a significance on ur rub too so be sure to take that into consideration

Most popular for me have been the 285/75/18 Toyo Open Country A/T's. (34.83") which I have had on my truck for two years now!
Mounted on the stock Ford 18" chrome rims and basic 2" leveling kit.
No problems whatsoever. My truck runs great everyday....no shudders, shutters, stutters; no sh**!

For some reason the 275/70-18 BFG TA KO at Discount Tire Direct are considerably less expensive than most sizes. At least in my zipcode. 285/65-18 run around $290 and the 275/70-18 run $220. I considered the 275 on stock rims but elected for the wide size to run on sand. Price point almost sold me.
