i bought a pair of led bulbs to replace factory bulbs. replaced one side at night, the led looked so much brighter than the other one. put it in reverse to see the difference in the camera but the factory bulb reflected further. removed the led and put some cheap lights from Autozone on the leaf spring hangars as stated above. do not know why the leds did project further, 12 leds in each bulb. i live in a rural area, checked them in the dark without any other lighting around.

If that's all you want, then any of the Rigid SRM/SRQ/Dually configurations will work. They are all low enough to pull power directly from the 7pin harness for the hitch. Pull power from there, rather than the reverse light circuit, as the reverse lead in the 7pin has its own dedicated circuit.

I wouldn't waste time with LED bulbs in reverse lamps. I'd did and it is brighter but as the other poster said it does very little to help.

The rigid stuff is nice and will last! That's where I'm at with the cheap lights, look sing to see how long they last. If they crap out soon then I'll spend the coin for the Rigids!

Damnit RES4CUE! Why did I have to see this thread this morning? Just ordered them off Amazon with other stuff too. I swear they are worse than Costco! Can't get out for under $100 bucks

got these on amazon. spliced into my 7 pin connector and hung them from my back bumper. im going to make a different bracket so they "tuck" under the bumper a little more. i love the light they put out. im NOT paying hundreds of dollars for rigid or any other brand. these work exactly the way i want them to.

Looking at my 13 and thinking about my 08, the lens housing is less opened for backup light on my 13.

i agree. there just isnt enough space to reflect the light. i didnt wanna hang a light from my bumper but i especially didnt wanna drill into anything like my shackle bracket, to each their own.
