I probally won't leave this week I have to hire a Lawyer this week and check some issue's that have been done while she had demencia, seems her family got her to sign and change some doccuments...so I need all my Ducks in a row before I go. From what I gather it will be a messy affair.

Sorry about your mom. I lost mine when was just 5 and my dad died 2 years ago.
Be strong.
As you wrote early you plan to drive, it will take 3-4 days to get to the place you have to be, why don't you buy a plane ticket? Just my suggestion. If you plan to drive, please be safe.
