Default Mods for fuel eco ONLY focus

Hi, love my truck, 2013 f150 ecoboost.

Are there any bolt ons that will give real actual fuel mileage benefits? Not just "in theory" MPG?

Ex: do you personally have an intake that you saw a difference in MPG? Exhaust? How many MPG difference did you see?

Not looking for more power, just wanna save a buck.

Thanks guys,

I keep my rpm below 2000 all the time... Keeps me from spooking the turbos up. Happy with current mileage, but willing to spend a buck to save 2

I guess it depends on how you drive. Like Joel said keep it below 2000 and you do OK.

I use 91 octane and picked up another 1.5 MPG over the 87. FX2 eco with 3:55's. I keep it at the speed limit to get that also.

If u want fuel economy, buy a focus. It's a 1/2 ton truck, they like fuel.

So we cannot try and get better mileage if we own a truck, because in your mind they all consume massive fuel? Many of us own trucks simply because owning a small car is not feasible. Not all of us are independently wealthy or own a gas station, so we would like to squeeze as much mileage as we can out of our vehicles no matter what.

Fully agree, just looking for useful advice not looking to have useless debates on here which is why I hadn't replied yet... His reply is what I hate about posting questions on these forums...

Anyway, let's stay focused and see if maybe someone has more useful info. Thanks for the idea on switching to higher grade fuel btw. May try it.

Keep tires aired up. Slight over inflation helps. Keep waxed. Slow down. Might consider changing to lighter tires but you will lose more on the trade than the 1/4 mpg increase will ever get you. Learn to coast would be number 1 though.

No mod will really help much unless willing to remove weight and/or add one of the funny prius looking camper shells that taper. Cai isn't going to help not will a drop in high flow.

I installed a K&N air filter and saw a 1+ MPG increase in my 5.0L.

I haven't done any of these mods but I did see this video and it is interesting,,,,, of course it says improves MPG but doesn't state how much! Also remember that you can get better power performance and still get better MPG!
