Default Misfire/shutter/no power under hard acceleration.

Friday I was headed to Michigan from Missouri and I was cursing down the highway and decided to hammer down and truck started to shutter so I got out of it and noticed check engine light was flashing. So I pulled off the highway shut my truck off and restarted it. Drove 300 miles no problem but didn't ever hammer on it again till I got close to Michigan and it ran fine. Took it to the dealer and they couldn't find anything wrong.

Now tonight on my way back to Missouri got on her pretty good and nothing, no power, bogged down, sounded like a misfire. But this time I didn't get a CEL. And I didn't have to shut my truck off or anything to get it back to normal. Once I got out of the gas it cruised like normal. Anyone have these symptoms? Truck now has 7200 miles.

Almost sounds like something in the ignition isn't timing right during a hard acceleration. The CEL the first time may have been the knock sensor.

Did the mechaninc do a hard acceleration on the road to try and replicate it?

Hmm. I've been reading it could be injectors. I'm going to try and take it to the dealer here in Missouri tomorrow. The dealer in Michigan all he did was put a scanner on it.

Mine seems to sputter occasionally during hard acceleration. Sounds like the turbos can't decide what to do either. I'll hear different varities of hissing sounds when it does this.

Do a search you are far from the first poster with this issue. To me it happened 3 time in one day, never happened again. It seems to be a problem with not only the F150, but with other Eboosts too. SInce no codes are logged when it happens the issue looks like it will persist.

I'm at the dealer now. I told them to check and see if there is a ground wire loose on the backside of the ds cylinder head.

Update: they didn't find anything unusual but they are going to upload the new software update on my truck even though my vin says it doesn't need one.

Seems to be an issue with the EB motors.
