Default Mirror Reflectors Removal

What's the best way to take off and put back on the mirror reflectors on a 2010 non-towing mirror? I'm trying to plastidip them.

I used a small flat head screwdriver to pry from the edge a little until I had enough to pull from the top. Popped right out. Only one side is a clip, the other side just slides in.

Pry from the outside. Its very easy!

Yes from the outside is the key! I did it first from the inside and the tabs both broke. Had to order some new ones.

Going to pick up my 2013 FX4 today. Traded my 2010 Lariat.

I ordered the delete kit. Just to make sure when you say "outside" do you mean to pry off the reflector starting with the end farthest from the body of the truck?

Easy as could be and looks so much better than the orange reflectors! Money well spent. I ordered my blanks from Shults Ford online for $12.25 each so $24.50 with free shipping.

That's where I got my delete kit from too. Well worth the money.

Here is what I did with mine...yes take them off from the outside and I used rattle can paint for plastic, just something different. Also, see my 64 playing peek a poo around the corner? Lol
