I don't drive like a old man, I use the skinny pedal almost as often as the brake as a tool for maneuvering around. If I am particularly hard on the gas for a few days, I can drop my mpgs below 17, but that's burning rubber nearly everywhere!

I only drove like that to max out my mileage for an entire tank. My normal driving does not consist of NHRA starts, but I'm not one to be passed for driving too slow either. I typically run 10 mph over limit around town and stretch it out a bit on highways. I think the key is smooth driving. There is no reason ( in my opinion) to go ***** to the wall at red lights. If I wanted that I would have bought a sports car.

I think 70mph is the cliff. Anything at or below and I'm high 18's. Anything above and I start dropping below 17's. Over my first 2000 miles I'm right at 17 with no particular attention paid to how I start. Sometimes I punch it, sometimes I just do what everybody else is doing.

I can get just shy of 700 calculated on the tank, because I fill up prior to running out. A coworker of mine has same truck better gears shorter bed gets 14 mpg I couldn't get that if I tried.

My best was 504 miles on a 26 gallon tank but I have the 3.7. It could have been a little more but I make a lot of short trips that kill the mileage

Got 19mpg on the trip on the way back and forth to Memphis.
ended up with like 500+ on a tank
Kept it under 75mph with a 5.0l 4x2 short bed scab.

I usually end up around 675 before I fill up. And then it's around 15 to 20 miles to empty. 2013 ecoboost 4x4 with 3.73 gears. My last tank I averaged 20.4 over 660 miles. That's doing mainly 60 to and from work though. Doing 70-75 for a road trip I ended on 19.1. Which really surprised me, usually when I get above 70 the mileage drops. I think it's because I've passed 7500 miles and broken the truck in...

^this, With plus gas and being conservative I get 14.5 without plus I am around 13. I usually get 450+ miles per tank with my 36 gallon tank. I dont think I have ever broke much over 500.
