Michelin LTX MS2 load class E tires

F150 towing wise I just ordered what will be the third set of tires for my ecoboost truck.

The stock tires were stock tires and wore out at around 35,000 miles.

I put on a set of Michelin LTX MS2 load range D. Hands down they are great down to about -5° F before getting sketchy on ice. I've run the second set of LTX tires for 37,000 miles, and starting last year in the Fall, one tire likely screaming about heat generated from my towing loads, has apparently started to delaminate. After putting in a running total of 15 tire plugs (yes, 15 plugs with four more tiny holes yet to be plugged) even I decided maybe I should stop milking the tread (I'm about an 1/8" off of the wear bars) and take advantage of the buy three get 1 free along with the $70.00 mail-in rebate sale that ends August 31st.

Since I thoroughly love the Michelin LTX MS2 tire series, I'm putting on Load range E versions this Friday. I plan to run them at 40-45 psi to preserve the ride in my truck although the tire is rated to 60 psi.

I heard Michelin Premiere LTX's will be coming out in November. Seems like a great tire.

I saw that they are rolling out a new Defender series LTX MS2, but saving $234.00 on a free tire and the fact that winter is coming and there isn't enough tread to survive northern Minnesota and live to tell about it, I pulled the trigger.

I have the same tires you've been running and am hesitant to try something different. Who has a buy 3 get 1 deal going on?

My local Ford dealer.

The new load range E tires ride stiffer. Expected, but very sad all the same.

I just put BFG AT KO2's on my truck and am very happy with them. I also got them at my local Ford dealer for $808.01 after rebate and buy 3 get one free.

Same experience for me, but it is what it is. My mileage is better with the LTX MS/2's than it was with the C Range Goodyears that came stock.

Did you get the load range Es?

All the Ford dealers around me are tight as***. If they had the get 1 free, I would've had the cash on their counter.

My truck had the m/s2 Load Range E on when I bought it used. Luckily I don't know what a soft ride feels like in this truck.
