Are Michelin LTX M/S2 worth the money?

Everything I have heard about these tires says they are excellent.
As we tow a TT a lot, I am even thinking about switching to MS2's long before my super-flexible-sidewall Wranglers wear out. I hate towing with the Goodyears!!...anyone want a set of Wranglers with 50% tread left -----CHEAP!

Truck tows 100% better.
Worked well enough I bought em for our Explorer also.
I'm a believer. Tough tire.

I have them in the stock size but 10 ply and I love them the tire rides smooth a lot smoother the 295/70/18 terra grapplers I had on before them. I do miss my truck being higher with the leveling kit and tires. I want to do a rancho 4" but dont want to buy new tires again when I just bought these a few months ago. Plus they dont make the Michelins big enough to use with the lift. So I guess ill stay factory height until these wear out which will be forever from what I'm reading on mileage rating.

I first started using "equivalent" Michelins about 16 years ago. I've always been unhappy with Goodyear tires as they seem to wear out very fast. The first set of Goodyears on my '97 Dodge Dakota only lasted 13,000 miles. I replaced them with Michelins and got right at 50,000 miles. Then I didn't want to spend the $$ and put on a cheaper brand. Those lasted maybe 25,000, finally went back to Michelins and have another 25,000 miles on them and they still look very good after probably 6 years. (Obviously not driving it that much right now).
Then had a Dodge ram with Goodyears. Had 2 tires with tread seperation. Replaced those with MS/2 Michelins and was VERY happy.
Traded that off and will replace the factory tires with Michelins when these wear out.
Looking at passenger tires, I also prefer Michelins to the point that I bought new all season Michelins for my wife's new car after only 3,000 miles. MAJOR difference in snow wet traction.
Are they worth the $$. To me, YES.

My wife has a toyota sienna mini van. We bought it new in 2011. Stock tires are michelin primacy mv4's or something like that name. Anyway, with regular rotation they have lasted great. At 55k miles now and still going. I am a believer in michelins. My truck new 2012, with 25k miles, the goodyear sra's look almost shot. Will not buy goodyears. Just want to find a sale on michelins!

Yes, IMO worth every dime. I got rid of the SRAs at 2,000 miles, terrible wet traction. I've now got 44,000 miles on the Michelins and they've got maybe 15,000 miles left. And I'll replace em with the same. I drive on the sand, air down to 16psi and they roll no problem. Not made for rock hopping but great on the wet highway. A big improvement from the SRAs!

If you tow a travel trailer like we do, look at going to the LT MS/2. That's what we did when we switched from GY and I am extremely happy with wear and performance. I have 2 GY's with 12/32's and I can't find anyone who will take them off my hands.

Geez! That sucks. If I were in Iowa I'd gladly come and take those off your hands! They definitely are not a LT tire, but they've suited me fine, for the most part. I'm going to look local for take-offs. I am however looking into these when my tires do run out, and I'll be going with these or the Michelin ltx, at2. Prob the latter of the two.

YES! For my 2011 Scab with18" rims, I've finally worn out these Michelins-and I could probably get another 10K out of these 10-plys if it wasn't winter in the Great Lakes.
-Total mileage of these four tires: 82,220 miles
-Rotate every 10K (every other oil change)
-Balance with rotation if needed
-65 psi
-paved roads, no off-road use
Just bought a second set of the same tire.
