Are Michelin LTX M/S2 worth the money?

Well its about that time. My truck is an 012 and I just hit 39,000miles. Obviously the Pirellis are complete junk. They didn’t wear evenly and the wet traction is horrendous. Ive gotten sideways on wet roads one to many times with them. Got to be the worst tires ive ever had. I cant believe ford actually equips them on their bread and butter vehicle.
Anyway, ive been reading the reviews and everyone seems to think the Michelins are the best thing since sliced bread. My question is are they really worth the extra $$$ compared to other brands? Just need some honest opinions here.

Simple, YES. MS2's will be on my truck when current tires wear out.. Awesome tire. Had them on my 02 SD.

Another YES.
Had them on the prior truck in the 275/60/20 and they were stellar for the 38,000 miles I had them on the truck. Expensive, but worth every penny. Roll for days, quiet, great in the wet and pretty decent for non winter tire in the snow. Not aggressive but they handled every rutted fireroad and cutover trail I could throw at them at the hunt camp.

Have them on both of my vehicles. Switched out the Pirellis for them the day I took delivery - and was surprised that I found a tire shop that gave me $340 credit toward them ($85/tire). Most places I called said that they wouldn't give me anything for the Pirellis as no one wants to buy them...

I had them on a explorer, lost two to road hazards, the remaining pair were replaced with 106,000 miles on them, replaced due to age not wear.. Yep my scorpions will be replaced with the Michelins..

No they are not worth the money had Goodyear wrangler at/s when they were in need of replacing thought I would up grade to the ms/2 what a mistake. With the wranglers I never lost traction in rain or snow, not so with the ms/2, had to go with blizzaak winter tires, can't wait for them to wear out. Wish I had gone with the toyo open country a/t ll

Yes they are..
Have them on my 2010 after 3 sets of Goodyear SRA's in 57,000 miles. I also switched from P rated to LT rated since we tow a travel trailer across country every year. I have 8000 miles on them and not even a 32nd gone. This has been a good winter for testing tires on ice and snow and I honesty believe they are better than the Goodyear SRA's were.
When pulling the trailer I have noticed that the stiffer sidewalls prevent a lot of side wind action.
I will buy them again if they wear out before I trade.

Ended up going with Goodyear Eagle LS2. I wanted the michelins but the price was hard to justify. The good years save me $500. As long as they last 2 years i will be satisfied. So far so good, drove 3in of snow this morning without issue. Also they ride nice and are quiet.

Yes, totally worth it. MS2s are excellent tires.
I just replaced my stock wranglers with the MS2s about 3 months ago. We've had a TON of snow this year and the MS2s are absolutely amazing in the snow. Even though they're not a dedicated snow tire, I think they're really close to being one. Lots of siping on the treads.

They're definitely worth the money.
What disappoints me is that mine won't stay balanced. I've had them balanced 4 times and they stay good for about 3,000km and then they start vibrating at higher speeds again. Otherwise they're quiet, smooth, wear great and have awesome traction in every condition.
