Default MFT, cooled seats and remote start question

Question for you guys that have the cooled seats and remote start. I have my settings for the remote start climate controls and seats set to "auto". When I use the remote start, the AC always kicks on, but the seats don't. Sometimes they turn on, but most of the time they don't. It's hotter than heck in AZ now. Yesterday it was 109 when I got out of work. I used the remote start to get the AC going while I walked across the parking lot to my truck. I get in, ac is on but not the seats. Anybody else experience this issue?

Maybe it's designed to turn the heated seats on in colder climates, which I know nothing about. lol

I think it only turns on if it detects weight on the seat to avoid having a cooled seat for someone who isn't there. I know that is how it works in my accord for heated seats.

my 13' FX2 has a mind of its own as far as climate control with remote start. no rhyme or reason to the sits turning on or not, but it does always turn on the cold whens its hot out and heat when its cold out

Same as the OP, definitely hot enough here in AZ for any setting to auto turn it on. But it's about 50/50 if they turn on with the remote start or not.

One option is to change your remote start settings so it is on the last setting. On second thought I am not sure if that would turn them on or not, but might be worth a try. My truck gets parked under a nice shady Palo Verde at work and a sunscreen to help keep it cool.
