Default MBRP Ecoboost Exhaust

Trying to figure out what exhaust I wanna run on my 2012 Ecoboost FX4? I've looked at videos on YouTube from the SOLO, heartthrob and MBRP. Solo and heartthrob dont have a deep enough tone and was wondering if anyone is running the 3" single side MBRP? I like that one the most I think I just need personal input from owners! Thanks!

Have you checked out Stainless Works? Check out the Stainless Works link in my signature, has some videos in it. Also running a sale on SW kits until end of December. Let me know any questions, thanks!

Thanks I will check it out. Ive never heard an ecoboost exhaust system in person and after viewing some videos most of them sound like ricer cars. Obviously it's not gonna sound like a v8 but I wanna stay away from the ricer sound.

I put on a MBRP stainless exhaust on about a month ago. Quality was excellent, installation was excellent. Looks were excellent. From what I could see there was about a 1.5mpg increase and my seat-of-the-pants said there was a power increase. Pulled it off in less than a week! The sound was the crappiest I had ever heard. I tried to tell myself that it was ok but couldn't do it. For Sale: One MBRP stainless exhaust with less than 100 miles on it.

Alright thanks for the input. What did you not like about the sound if you don't mind me asking?

It sounded like a 4 cylinder rice burner that had a crappy non-factory exhaust. If you do a search on this many people have said the same thing about the sound of a 6 with an after-market exhaust..... but I will disagree that they all sound bad. I had a 2001 Ranger with a 4L and I installed a Gibson catback on it right after I got it. While it didn't modify the sound that much there was a deeper rumble than the stock and it sounded great. The only reason I didn't go Gibson this time was that at the time I couldn't find one for the '12 EB.

Yeah that's what I'm scared of because a lot of people say that. I just wanna find a decent sounding exhaust that doesn't sound like crap. The stock sound just doesn't fit my truck and want to gain the hp and mpg back since I got a lift

I haven't checked but after I bought my MBRP I heard that Gibson now has a cat-back.

I have the mbrp with dual side exits. I love it and get lots of comments of how good it sounds. People say it finally sounds like a truck now. You won't get the deep v8 rumble but you knew that when you bought the ecoboost. My buddie has a new cummins with some exhaust work on it and a lot of people say it has the same sound. I'm extremely happy with the mbrp.

Do you think the single side exit will have a similar sound? I'm not a big fan of the dual look but if it sounds better I wouldn't care to much
