I want to install a 6.5” woofer, with a depth of 2.5”, in place of the stock front doors speakers. I will fab an adapter from 5x7 to 6.5 but I’m worried about clearance between door and speaker grill & door and it window when it’s rolled down. Anybody have an idea on if it will fit?

should be ok. the drivers i am using have a mounting depth of 2.64".
