Default My..err.. AN exhaust system showed up...

So after 2 months of searching YouTube and the forum I finally pulled the trigger on the Banks monster exhaust. Ordered it through an autoanything customer service rep.

Fast forward to yesterday the estimated ship date, everything was going my way at work. Around 7 I get home from work to find the Banks power exhaust sitting at the door. I checked the side of the box and it's part number 48787.

I opened the box and what do I find? A plethora of 4" exhaust tubing. I pull out the supplied instructions... Oh yeah this is the monster exhaust for a 6.0 f250/350/excursion... Im pissed. The packing slip, receipt, and box all say the correct exhaust, but inside the box is the wrong system.

I now have a $700 exhaust system that I paid $430 for. The devil in me says sell this to my friends mom for her 250 and use the extra cash for some floor mats, but the good side says different. I called autoanything and also emailed the rep I ordered through. Of course closed so I'll be expecting a call today.

While I got free shipping I feel that they will have no problem shipping the replacement system since the one I got is about $250 more than what I paid. Ill keep you all updated.

Thanks for letting me vent.... Ughhhh

You don't think they'll want this one back before I get the replacement? This has happened with Crutchfield a time or two and they wait to receive the bad product before sending out the the replacement. Plus this was drop shipped so I'm willing to bet I'll be in on the phone with Banks later today.

This is what most companies do. Personally I would send it back. I ordered a motorcycle helmet one time and got one that was way better, but i just couldnt keep it, honesty and integrity

Quadratec (Jeep Company) sent me the wrong part for my TJ Wrangler ($570) and sent the new one without double charging or waiting till the bad part came back to them. So it does happen, just ask.

Dude I love quadratec, my dad and brother both drive JKs and I buy all their Xmas and birthday presents there.

Hopefully autoanything can do the same... I was bummed

I would just take the easy route and just trade in your truck and get an F-250.
