Default Max tire size for ecoboost with 3.55 gears

Want new tires but I am not sure how much larger I should go. I have the 3.55 rear and ecoboost engine. I don't want to lose performance so can anyone comment on what is the max tire size to go with? I am getting the Bilstein 5100's this weekend and adding a 3" block in the back but I can't decide what tire size to go with....should I stay at 33" or can a 34" be run without problems. I think 35" would be too much from what I have read.

Looking around it is either the
toyo's
bfg's
nitto trail grappler

Perhaps going with the lightest tire would be best. Damn, why did I get the 3.55?

From looking at everyone's setups on here I wouldn't go bigger than a 33" if you are worried about gas mileage. Performance can always be regained with a tune. Seems after the 33" gas drops tremendously. I am looking at some 275/60/R20 right now just cant decide which tire and wheel package.

I am more concerned about performance and not gas mileage. I am too paranoid to go with custom tuning.

I have raptor wheels and tires and am running BFG all terrains. 315/70 r17 is like 34.36 inches i think. I get about 14 mpg city and 17 highway. Still hauls ***, breaks the tires lose from a roll, and slides like a son of a gun on pavement. No cutting. I have a 2 inch HBS spacer in the front. No block in rear.

I've got 305/55/20 trail grapplers and they are very heavy tires, love the look, dont like the weight. I expected quite a bit more weight than stock, just not 76 pounds per tire. Heads up, not sure on the exact size you want. I took a noticeable hit in gas milage, was expecting a hit just not the same gas milage that my Dodge had Oh ya lost a lot of speed.

Nice truck but do you have the 3.55 gears. B-xp just posted with a much smaller tire and reports exact opposite. I guess that is why I posted because I can't really get a good answer. I don't want to spend 1000's just to have to redo or undo something.

Looks like the BFG's weight a lot less than the trail grapplers....I would imagine that helps.

I have the raptor wheels but went with 33" tires. They are quite heavy at 60 lbs. I lost about 1 mpg and I DO notice the performance
hit. Not that bad, still gets up there pretty quick but not quite like it did with stock wheels and tires. I also went with a more aggressive tread that probably has quite a bit more rolling resistance. You may be able to offset that depending on the tire you choose.

I wouldn't have posted in here if I didn't have 3.55's lol... Believe what you want! I'm just telling you... I can PM you a video of me beating my buddy's 6.2 Scab raptor. Idk, thats good enough for me.

My 315/70 r17 BFG all terrains weigh 64 a piece.
