Default In the market for new rims / tires...needs some opinions

Hey guys,
I’m looking to get some new shoes with some more aggressive tires. Don’t know too much about rim offset, but would like them to stick out a bit, not an exaggerated amount, maybe an inch or two. My debate, like a lot of the threads I found, is between 3 tires at the moment. Looking at a 35x12.5x9. My commute to work is extremely short, I anticipate going off-road but not regularly. Snow and Ice her North Jersey isn’t awful…this year has been unusually horrible though.

Nitto Trail Grapplers
Nitto Terra Grapplers
Goodyear Duratracs

Rim wise, not too sure. I’ve seen a few I like, Black Rhino Sidewinders, American Outlaw Hollywoods, Fuel Hostage and XD Monsters – the latter 2 seem to be everywhere from what I’ve seen (I'm open to suggestions...so feel free to share). I’ll probably stick to a 17” or 18” max. Not sure what I’ll do with my appearance package 20”s. May keep them or just offload them…way I see it can always buy a set of 20”s in the future if I feel the need to go back. I could care less about OEM or not….though they are pretty sweet.

Would love some opinions – good, bad, or indifferent (pictures would be a plus!)…I’ll likely make the buy shortly after installing my Icon Stage 5 setup…been waiting a little over a month for it, but it wouldn’t be installed any time soon since the weather in Jersey is god awful and only getting worse. Just a little more info, my commute to work is extremely short – 5 miles each way, so road noise I’m not worried about. I anticipate going off-road but not regularly. Snow and ice here North Jersey isn’t awful…this year has been unusually horrible though…I don’t have a real heavy foot and at this point (fingers crossed) haven’t had any issues on ice with the stock bridgestones.

My vote is on the Trail Grapplers:

I have stock wheels though, so can't help you on the offset that you are looking for.

Here are some pics of the tire itself so you can see just how aggressive these things are:

I'd say avoid the terra's and go with either the duratracs or trail grapplers. I love my duratracs, they are also winter rated unlike a M/T.

Anybody deal with a particular vendor? I got a price from SD wheel on ebay...their quote was a lot hire than what their ebay page indicated...to which their response was "we will match our ebay price" oh really? Thanks...

I still gotta check out a few places.
