Making My Own Front Skid Plate
Ok, so I finished the front skid plate up at work today. I welded in my spacers, then hit them with some rustoleum paint (just in case the welds decide they want to rust even though the spacers are stainless as well). You won't see it because it's on the inside of the skid plate. I modified it further by cropping the rear edges and putting a 20* bend in the rear for added safety (this way in reverse, it will deflect any objects down and away). I also cropped the edges of the front. Here's some updated pics. I'll post more once it's installed.[/QUOTE
Looks good what measurement did you bent the front and back at?
That does look great! One thing, if you have access to a bead roller, roll a few beads side-to-side. It'll add a bit of rigidity to it, especially since your mounts are in the far corners of the piece. Other than that, awesome work![/QUOTE
You still have the skid plate dimensions available?
I want to get a set made for my truck also, as they are 'ot availble here in Poland
