Also I'm thinking that I'll be able to remove my hideous front air deflector in the front since my skid plate has a 45* turn up at the front (which will help deflect air down under the truck and along the bottom of the skid plate) and my skid plate will extend all the way back about 8" past my front sway bar.

Fasttimez, I'm curious... do you know what about the raptor front skid plate won't work on a "normal" F150? Their other 2 skid plates are the same as the FX4, only the front is different.

The front skid plate was the one I was refering to. Sorry, I should have clarified. I believe since the front suspension is different and the engine is different, the mounting points are different than ours. The transfer case IMO shouldn't need one since it's well tucked up behind the transmission crossmember. If you hit the transfer case, you have bigger issues going on..LoL But it's still nice to have extra protection everywhere. My next project will be to tackle making a Metal skid plate for my gas tank (instead of the plastic one offered), it's gonna take some thinking out since I have the 36 gallon tank and the mounting options are very limited.

You could use the fuel tank support brackets to mount a metal one to, just build it with some 'give' so that if you hit something, the plate can give and not just immediately hit the fuel tank.

Preferably out of a material that doesn't spark

Btw, The Raptor had the 5.4 in 2010 IIRC, so the skid plate should be the same; only the suspension and accommodating body components should be different.
