Lightbulb Making 400hp out of your 2014 f150 5.0

Hello. I just recently bought my family wagon 2014 f150 S crew 5.0 with 3.31 gears 4x2. I am looking at trying to pack on an extra 40-50 hp with just some bolt on performance parts. Anyone have any advice or help. Thanks.

Tuner is really the way to go, unless you want to spend some big bucks and do a supercharger and other high buck mods. Can't say what you'll really end up with though, unless you dyno it. I've got the SCTX4 tuner on mine with tunes, I got from Stage3. No dyno, but I will say, it really woke the 5.0 up.

a bigger differential will improve the butt dyno...but john was right, a tuner is a good place to start. Also, exhaust and intake

Intake does practically nothing. Our stock CAI are very efficient until you are really modded. Exhaust is almost the same. The only way you will gain anything is if you do a complete exhaust which would include headers (preferably long tube) plus a free breathing system after that. Very costly for very little gain. As said, a tuner is your best bang for your money. If you aren't happy at that point, upgrade your gears to 3:73 at least and you will feel it.

Good luck and have fun!
