Okay so I got in the mail today from Ford that stats that the Accessory Protocol Interface Module APIM has been extended to 5 years.

Anyone else get this? I checked to see if there was a Sync update for my truck however there isn't. Does anyone know if there is a newer version at the dealer than what I have access to? I'm running Gen2 - V3.6.2

Yup. I got one also. I was going to call my service manager tomorrow to get to the bottom of it. He's been a close personal friend for 30 years and he will have the straight scoop on it. I like the no mumbo jumbo answers.

What year, and system do you have? Do you have the basic system with a squinty little window top center of dash, 4.2" screen direct center of dash, or 8" MFT?

My wife's 2014 Escape has the same extension but not my 13 truck.

Same here. I applied the update and so far I am not seeing the issues I used to see. Since everyone will ask.

1. The interior ambient lighting has stopped randomly going back to the default.
2. My map used to be off by several hundred feet while navigating (showing me in the wrong road and such).
