I believe you're right. Magnaflow is more free flowing and similar to stock. I believe flowmaster actually adds restriction. I'm not into these trucks much tho, I deal with diesels.

Just measured my exhaust. 3" going in and out of muffler, 2.75" in and out of resonator. Stick muffler is 27", and looks like the pipes line up perfectly on either side.
