Default M/T or A/T's ?

Hey everyone, so im looking at two sets of tires to put on my truck in a few weeks and im having a tough time deciding on M/T's or A/T's. Right now I am looking at Pro Comp 305/70/18 M/T 2 or 325/65/18 A/T2 both measure to about 35x12.5. I plan on doing a nice bit of off roading but this is also my every day driver. The tires will only be on the truck for 4-5 months of the year and both have a 40,000 tread warranty. The terrain here is really rocky, boggy, with a bit of dirt and alot of water, plus snow in the early spring and early fall. I dont mind noise I can deal with that, But what do you think A/ts or M/ts and the reason im looking at Pro comps is there giving me about $100 a tire, but if you guys have other suggestions of another tire im open.

I'd stay away from Pro Comp, all together. They don't balance well, and don't wear for crap. Plus, price wise, they're outrageous.

Well suggest me another tire, right now there quoting me $350 a tire for a 35x12.5x18 and doing the mounting balancing for $50 and throwing in the sensors. There telling me there the most popular tire they sell, I originally looked at toyo but everyone says there garbage as well. Nittos I cant get here unless i want to pay $450 a tire not even counting install. They also have a 40,000 tread warranty i don't plan on driving those tire near that so not worried about tread ware as it warrent.

Why so much for the Nittos? I'm running Terra grapplers and love them. If you can't go that route the BFG A/T's are great too. Perfect for all around use. Never been stuck in the sand or dirt with a set on a 99' dodge ram.

In all honest between toyo, nitto, cooper, and the pro comps I've ran my cooper stt were the best I've ran. Wear, price, and traction were all great.

My uncle says the same thing, when i was looking for snow tires he said cooper are the best. As for why im p[aying so much for nittos is i would have to order them in and the shipping is alot. Plus the shop is giving me a deal on the install.

Agreed.
If looks and performance are important my thought are if your looking for an MT tire, first choice toyo mt, second nitto trail grappler. Both tires are heavy as hell but handle and wear very well and stay balanced (most of the time they are very balanced from the factory). For an in between tire and good all around tire get the duratracs. They are lighter weight, wear well are quiet (slight humm) and can chew through almost as much as an MT.

Cooper STT, loved mine i had in 37x12.50r17. Any radial MT will perform just about the same. It really comes down to throttle and driver experience.

I've never heard anyone say Toyo mts are garbage. My buddy got 130 000 km out of his 37s and he never unhooks his 6 tonne dump trailer. Perfect wear as well.
