They told me the 2010 doesn't need it. I have the 5.4
I run it in my wife's 06 4 runner and it seems to work good in that v8

Lucas and other oil additives are designed for older engines. If you want to do anything with your oil, switch to full synthetic after about 10,000 miles.

Yea I'm going to start running the motorcraft semi synthetic it looks better than conventional oil. They say the new Lucas treatment is for new engines as well? I don't know about that??

If by semi synthetic you mean synthetic bend, you should be using that anyway

I wouldn't use it on a new truck with a new engine. I owned a land rover discovery (1960s buick v8) before this and rebuilt the engine twice. I used some injector cleaner and seafoamed the engine a few times. The carbon buildup in that old engine was noticeable, but nothing to even worry about after 130k miles. I can imagine that these engines will not benefit from running any cleaners through it, at least for a VERY long time.
