Default LT tires

i tow enough to need a better tire. looking for LT or more ply but dont want much taller or heavy of a tire. any suggestions or sizes that will accomdate me?

2011 fx4 crew 20" would consider going to 18"wheel/tire to get what i want (although the factory 20's r the shnitt)

I run Bridgestone Revo 2s in size LT275/65-20 (34.1") on my stock 20" FX4 wheels.

The ride is fine on the street (at 40 psi).

I just replaced the stock Pirelli's (44,000 mi) with Michelin LTX- AT2's in 275-65/20, and they ride just a tad stiffer, but very smooth. They have a very slight rub on the plastic inner fenders when turning full lock on uneven terrain. I'm getting leveling struts to eliminate that, though. These tires are E rated for load.(3750 lbs per tire) I'm running them at 40 psi, also.

I'm pulling my hair out and losing sleep trying to decide on Michelin P or LT
on their home page they use the SAME "user review" for both tires so I can not tell if the buyer installed P or LT (LTX M/S2)

i will never have another p tire on a truck. i pull a boat and a pretty good size flatbed with atvs and p rated tires are dangerously squishy. how they r even legal on a truck with tow rating above 4k lbsi beyond me!!!

I pull 4,000LBS using my 4.3L V6 van with Michelin LTX MS P tires 16" and the towing is just "ok" but at times can be white knuckle.

Now that I have this F150 my first thought is, no matter what the towing will be way better...until I noticed this truck has P tires on it.

I might do a test tow first to see how it is.

i will help you on the decision. i tow an 18.5' ranger boat. boat weighs 2k dry. another 800lbs in motors, few hundred lbs of gear, 35 gal ogf gas, trailer probably another 1200lbs. truck was all over the place at 65 mph.

i have pulled trailers since i was a little guy (like 10 yr old) don't ask lol, so i know what i am doing. bad experince with these tires
