Lowering a 4x4. Dumb!

i love the look of a 6" lift on a 150. They look great. But most of the ones i like have trail grapplers on $3,000 3 piece wheels, do they see offroad? Nay.
22's on dueler's would be really practical for me..why? They look great, do well on the street, can still drive in the field and tow the boat, and the tires will pay for themselves in treadwear. Haters gonna hate.

really? sounds to me like your being a dick head and trying to start trouble. but hey, thats just my opinion.
thanks for the opinion though. you did have a good point at a lowered 4x is better than a lifted 4x that doesnt see the slightest bit of dirt.

Wow, There was actually some logic to come out of one of these threads with the lowered 4x4 practicality. Well done boys, we're getting there.
Then the dink measurers came along..

I've noticed moments of intensity that simply is not needed and yet this quote shows restraint. All I'm saying is keeping a cool head is a better fit. If I piled on to your anger, what exactly does that accomplish? He isn't shooting at you, trying to physically rough you up... In that case yeah, "Ranger down" would be initiated. The best part of being a professional in our world is knowing how to focus intensity in the right direction... Kinda what makes us the dangerous beings that we are suppose to be. Gang members blindly have each other's back..,, at least until they are overwhelmed. We are not in a gang, we are definitely much more than that. Oh... And consider who reads your posts, not everyone has the same mentality as you and I might have. It is easy to be way too intense to most people, which might lead to an unflavored response that you might not completely understand. Just take it into consideration

I am a 32 year old WHITE male, who owns my own construction company in Minnesota... My old truck was an 05 SuperDuty with 10" of lift on 40" tires... And I will be lowering my 4x4 Ecoboost in the next few weeks. Obviously everyone has their own opinions on this and all matters in life, but to the OP to want to "castrate" people?? Come on man, go **** up a rope ya hillbilly

Seriously bro. Having a good time on here getting different points of views and opinions is one thing, but comments like that weren't meant as a joke. He's a pansy coward that couldn't hack it over there. How is it a forum, derived from opinion, become fodder to down play an opinion that was in obvious jest?
Very unbecoming a soldier. Soldiers are suppose to be able to pass a reading comprehension test as part of the ASVAB. Did you not pass this portion? If not, how did you get in? What's the title of that old song? "Things that make ya go hmm" I believe.

will run you OVER
If I lived in a state with a lot of rain/snow etc I would rock a slightly lowered 4x4.
for a jeep or something that Id use off road I would probably rock it stock height...I would put on long arm control arms for more axle flexing/ range of motion. Then put on bigger tires and highline kit (moves the front and rear fenders up a couple inches to clear bigger tires without lifting the vehicle). Why would I do this? so I can keep my center of gravity low, Ill put on major skid plates of course, possibly run air shocks so if I get high centered on some rocks ill be able to air them up and get maximum clearance to get up and over the object.
I cant wait till I finish school and get my engineering job then get some land and money to play

I'd lower mine if it didn't kill the ride. The only visible difference between 2wd and 4wd is the sticker on the bed. My FX4 with its original 20's would look good level and lowered.
Why not roll a lowered truck that you can still use in the snow? And get killer mileage?
That said, I went level in the front. Only because it did not impact ride quality.
