Default Low tire pressure light won't go away

Tires are all at 35PSI and I've retrained the TPMS sensors successfully, but the damn light won't go away. What gives?

Have you driven 20 miles since doing this?

If it is a sensor and you don't want to change it you can switch off the TPMS with FORScan program and go back to manually checking your tire pressures. I do this when I install my winter tires that do not have sensors.

during the retrain/horn honk procedure, isn't each sensor checked, and therefore communicating ?

Lightbulb

Excerpted from the Ford Motorcraft TIRE PRESURE MONITORING SYSTEM (TPMS) docment .....

Q: Can other aftermarket devices affect the TPMS system?

A: Some aftermarket devices can cause radio frequency interference that will block the TPMS sensor signal causing an intermittent concern. This can cause the TPMS lamp to illuminate. Some of the more common items are: cell phone chargers, GPS power supplies, or any other aftermarket electronic device. Unplugging the aftermarket devices can help determine if they are the cause of an intermittent concern.

This happened to me when dealer put on my winter tires. Stayed on the whole following weekend. Went back in, they grabbed a guy and reflashed it within a few minutes. Easy.

Update: downloaded forscan, connected to truck and found both front and rear tire pressure values were set at 110psi. Changed to 35psi and light went away. Why the hell were they set to 110psi?

How long have you had the truck. Could the previous owner had a different load range on there?
