Around here we have mostly small dealerships and it is about 50/50%, Ecos vs. 5.0's. Very few 6.2s or 3.7's.

Earlier in the week I upgraded my truck and my local dealer also had a good mix. About 50/50 as well.
My old truck was a 5.0 and I wanted my new one with the same engine. They did try their best to sway me to an ecoboost, I went as far a driving one around the block, but ended up with the 5.0 I wanted.

^ Samething I bought 1 year before you......
I was interested in either engine to be honest, but ended up with the Eco.
Not a chance in hell I'd own the 6.2L with the poor efficiency.
California......less EcoBoosts?? I find that VERY hard to believe....lol

I'll pull it up,(have to find that article), but expect production to be 20% 5.0. Not because it's a bad engine, just the 2.7 3.5 are pushed. Especially the 2.7. Believe it or not the 5.0 is a little more expensive to build, due to the mass of material and the high tolerances for cam lobes and other physical engine parts, 64 valves etc. I really believe it's seen its last model year. The plus: no more Eco boost 5.0 threads. The negative: no more Eco boost 5.0 threads. Every era ends....sigh.
