I am looking at towing a 27ft travel trailer, 7500lbs GCVW. Do I need the 3.73 gears?

I had trouble with the motor and the 09 and 10s were not really very different and will be susceptible tor the same cam chain tensioner issues (hydraulically actuated and driven by oil pressure rather than torque like on the 5.0). They are still relatively new and only offered in the new body for two years but Google it, you will see the same failures as in the 04-08s.

Plus, the 11+ trucks got Electric power steering and the big info display in the dash as well as select shift. If you will be towing anything, hold out for select shift in an 11. The the 5.0 is a potent power plant, towes sooo much better than my old 5.4 did and when you mash the go pedal, it snarles and moves out.

So I took it for a test drive today and ended putting a down payment on it. If my mechanic say it looks good, think I will pull the trigger. Even had DVD players on the headrests, I'm sure the kids will love.

You will be happy with it. Mike at 5star tuning can make it even better with a performance tune.

I paid around $28k for my loaded '11 fx4 ecoboost super crew 50,000 miles earlier this year...You can find them, just have to look.
