making me opt for an XLT with just a console and I can (again, like my 98 F150) bolt one to the floor where the "hump" used to be in old cars.
this safe goes underneath the center jumpseat cubby hole. leaving the armrest console open for your other items.

on the 2010 there is no drilling 2011-2013 there is one side that the hole is there but there is a brace covering it you simply drill thru the plate and your done this frame is held by factory bolts. makes sense if not ill try and post pics

Default Tuffy Underseat Storage for Screw

Here are a couple pictures of the Tuffy underseat storage box for the SuperCrew.

Mine is for trucks with the subwoofer. Tuffy make a longer one for truck without the subwoofer.

I'm considering adding additional hasps and padlocks to improve security over the single lock provided.

I just went back and re read, are you talking about the lok box? I was wondering about the bullydog vault that jmallash posted pictures of.

I agree with quick access, no key, too many keys on my keychain now anyway.

What do you do when you have to run into the Post Office or FedEx (ours has a large 30.06 (Texas) sign outside prohibiting; or your friends want you to stop at an establishment that is 51%?
In the gun world, Ft. Knox is often regarded as the premier gun safe OEM. Anyway, give them a call or look up your local dealer.

I bet you could email them about a full sized box.

I made one out of an old 50 cal ammo box. I bolted it on its side under the rear seat. painted it black and lined the interior with felt. Just mount a lock to it and good to go. Mount it on slight angle so it opens. i can reach it from the front seat without any issues. The gun stays on me and is only locked up if it has to be.

I've installed Console Vault (http://www.consolevault.com) gun safes in 3 of my trucks and they're awesome. There are three options for the lock; barrel key, keyless 3 combo and keyless four digit combo. I've only used the keyless 3 digit combo lock because as mentioned before, I don't ever want to be digging around for a key. I keep all three digits one digit off so I can turn them one click by feel. Works like a champ. I use the safe to store my GPS, CDs, and other valuables but mostly my conceal carry weapon when I can't take it in to certain buildings or businesses. Peace of mind...
