21k on my 5.0 not one issue. Ive heard they are animals with exhaust intake and a 5 star tune. Fx4 is a awesome package compared to chevys z71. You wont regret it.

What to look out for... Distracted drivers staring at your sweet new ride! Go for the 5.0... I love mine - especially with the obnoxiously loud exhaust I put on it. Mild or wild, you can do great things with a 5.0 exhaust.

Traded my modded 2010 5.3L Z71 for this 2012 FX4 5.0L. Best decision I ever made.

I have both Chevy and fords,

Chevy
2009 5.3 z71
2010 6,0 3/4ton z71
Ford
2007 5.4 Fx4
2011 XLT 4x4 5.0
2012 KR EB

I loved the 5.0 in the 2011, and my fleet dealer didn't have the KR in the 5.0 so he talked me into driving the EB. I loved it as well. I have a lead foot, and like to get point a to b as quick as possible.

But the Ford is just a better driving, riding truck IMO.

I will ditch my wife's Denali if Ford ever puts the 5.0 or EB in the expedition.

Stainless Works LT headers and full dual exhaust will be my first modifications. Got LT's on my Chevy with cutouts, so when I feel the need, drive around with open headers to wake everyone up. On my GT500, the first mod I did was the headers (that was a bitch of an install), xpipe and cat removal and I freaking love the sound:

Warning: driving a new F150 5.0 could be hazardous to your health as several instances of heavy go pedal use has been noted resulting in much pleasure and increased fuel use. Also it has been noted that quietness and comfort has led to driver euphoria.

I passed on the Ecoboost as well but because of the Intercooler problems. The 5.0L doesn't seem to have many problems.

I had a 2010 that was a lemon. Bad transmission, bad suspension, bad front end, so many issues. Dealer helped get me this truck and this truck is what i originally wanted with it's options but none was available when I bought the 2010.

Love the power over the 5.4L.
