I saw that 34 mpg too! I don't trust that ad. Nor your local dealer. I'd also vote for one from '11 and up if you can. And, those fumes from new plastics, etc. can be bad. Keep us posted!

I feel the same way about our dealer who is the only dealer in town for Ford, Lincoln, Hyundai, Honda and Mazda. They are a huge misleading scary monopoly.

I will most definitely look for a used one. 2011 sounds good.

Default 2012 F150 4WD ecoboost for sale

Here is a 2012 ecoboost 70 miles away for sale. I thought I'd put the link here, does this sound like a good deal?

At 35,000 miles on a 2012 it is to me a high mileage truck. But, according to the CarFax it was serviced when needed. I would ask the Service Dept. Manager to check the computer to see if there has been any major repairs. Don't let him tell you he can't, because I know he can look very easily. Maybe call a sales person there, and ask for there best price then go from there. I always say drive the truck, listen to it closely for any unusual noises (except the turbo sounds), then go with what your instincts tell you. As price goes it's close to what I see in my area for pre-owned trucks like this one. Hopefully someone with a 4x4 will chime in to help you with what to look for in that area.

Edit: After I typed all of this I went back, and looked at the vehicle history report. It shows the truck was hit the the left rear on 11/11/13. That would give me pause, because you can't tell the amount of damage from the report. So, I'll reserve the statement about the price. The CarFax shows it $810 over the average pricing, and apparently the dealer did not factor the depreciation from the wreck into that price. I would bet the farm he factored it in when he offered the first owner a trade in price. You know what they say, "Buyer beware". If you do decide to take a test drive, take it to an independent mechanic for a good going over. I would never depend on the selling dealer to give me the correct info. in this matter.

Another edit: I it were me I would "pasadena" on this one, and look some more. But, do what you think best.

Oh my gosh, I just found what you said only it was not on CarFax, it was on Autocheck which I hadn't even noticed. Good work finding that!!!! This makes me not trust CarFax at all and I already don't trust dealers.

Thank you, we shall pass on this vehicle and I was always look at the Autocheck reports along with Carfax from now on. Wow! Again thanks.

Also you can expect prices to drop on used models when the 2015s hit the lots later this summer. If your willing to wait a few months you can save a few $$.
