Holy cow that's expensive. Not sure where you live? Maybe Hawaii that is fair but here's my thoughts.
An fx4 of that years should be worth 32-38k. Depending on mileage, condition, 4x4 Nd engine. At the top of the range would be a low mile, 4x4, every option (we are talking msrp around 53k+) and either a 6.2 or Eco engine with the 6.2 most valuable.
Bc this is almost 19k miles and only 2 wd it is at the lowest end of he price range and possibly even below that. I would likely only be a buyers the first # was a 2. Many other lower mileage higher optioned truck for that price.

Alright, I drove it. Guy beat up the side bed caps, back passenger side sticker was a little torn. Not sure I like the slick black accents in it that are grey in mine on the dash and doors. Most importantly there is a shutter sound in the engine when you give it gas up a hill, like a flap opening or closing, definitely don't have the sound in my Eco. I told them I would think about it.

If you are interested in this truck I would ask for the Carfax. I looked at it and a few things stuck out. Unless the front pic is reversed, the front license plate is on the wrong side. Someone could have easily swapped it I am sure. Also, it looks like there is a flex fuel badge on the tailgate. This could be scary because I don't know of any EBs that are flex fuel compatible.

His truck is a FX2. The truck he is looking at is an FX4 which I would assume is a 4wd. In primo condition a 2014 FX4 around my area is fetching in the 34k to 38k price range. But that is for a short bed. The 6.5" bed screws are less money. They just aren't as desirable. All of the FX4 screw 157" trucks that are used around here are coming out of Canada.

Oh good eye on the badges. Yeah something does seem weird about this truck. The Eco badges are generally on the doors and this one has a badge where the FlexFuel badge is on the 5.0's. In the description it even advertises FlexFuel but it says 3.5l v6 as engine. But that could very well be an input error as it IS a VW dealership and not Ford. They probably dont know any better because Ford trucks arent their specialty. What stand out the most to me is the dash. Thats not an FX dash....
FX's without the Appearance Package have the badges on the doors.

Oh okay. Didnt know that! The dash even on the app package should say FX though right? This one almost looks like a lariat dash.

I'm always concerned buying a newer low mileage truck like that. I have to wonder why it was traded in. I would be worried I was buying a lemon that the dealer is just covering up.
